Terms of Use

Version 2.0 Effective date: September 25, 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and DREAMSTREAM Academy Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Dreamstream Academy,” “DREAMSTREAM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing the Services, or clicking to accept, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you are 13 through 17, we encourage you to review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian, and by accepting these Terms you represent that your parent or legal guardian is aware of and consents to your use of the Services.

These Terms replace Version 1.0 of the Terms of Use as of the effective date shown above. Existing users will be asked to accept these Terms and the current Privacy Policy before continuing to use the Services.

2. About the Services

Dreamstream Academy operates a career-guidance and exploration platform that helps students understand their interests, experiences, strengths, and preferences; explore educational and career pathways; and identify programs, activities, and opportunities that may help them move forward.

Features may allow a student to:

  • Create and maintain a private account, profile, Wallet, or similar personal record.

  • Provide information about school, work, sports, arts, service, family responsibilities, projects, hobbies, interests, values, strengths, preferences, goals, likes, and dislikes.

  • Upload or describe records and evidence, such as transcripts, report cards, schedules, assessment results, credentials, resumes, portfolios, writing samples, project photographs, code, game film, recommendation letters, evaluations, awards, and similar materials.

  • Receive assessment results, artificial-intelligence-assisted organization and interpretation, personalized pathways, adjacent possibilities, and suggested next steps.

  • Save, revisit, refine, and provide feedback on pathways, recommendations, and opportunities.

  • Follow outbound links or, where specifically offered, request a connection to a third-party program or opportunity.

The Services are designed for a private, individual experience. They do not provide social interaction, public or semi-public user profiles, or a way for one user to view another user’s submitted content.

The Services are offered directly to students and families. Dreamstream Academy does not receive education records directly from a school as part of the ordinary consumer Services. If we later offer a separately governed school-sponsored service, additional terms and notices may apply.

The Services are currently provided without charge. Dreamstream Academy may receive affiliate referral fees as described in Section 12. We may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium offerings in the future. We will describe the price and applicable terms before a charge is incurred, and we will not retroactively charge for a feature previously provided without charge.

3. Service Availability and Changes

We continue to develop the Services. Features, functionality, content, interfaces, service providers, and technical methods may be added, modified, suspended, removed, or replaced. We may also limit or discontinue all or part of the Services when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal, business, or operational reasons.

We do not provide a service-level agreement, uptime guarantee, or performance commitment unless we agree to one separately in writing. The Services may contain errors, delays, or interruptions. Do not rely on the Services for an emergency, a time-sensitive requirement, or a decision that requires professional judgment.

We will provide notice when required by law or when a change materially affects a user’s rights or the way we handle personal information. Account closure, deletion, export, and other privacy rights remain available as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Updates, Notice, and Re-Acceptance

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, our practices, or the law. The current version and effective date will be displayed with the Terms.

If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services, by email, or both. When appropriate, including when a change materially alters the agreement or a permission involving a student, we may require affirmative re-acceptance before continued use. When Apple, Google, or the law requires a parent to approve a significant change for a minor’s account, we will follow that process.

If you do not accept revised Terms, you may stop using the Services and close the account. Account information is not automatically deleted merely because a new version of these Terms takes effect. Retention, deletion, export, and other data rights are governed by the Privacy Policy.

5. Eligibility and Parental Consent

  • Minimum age. You must be at least 13 to create an account or use the Services. Use by anyone under 13 is prohibited. Signing in with an Apple or Google account, including a child account a parent manages, does not change this rule.

  • Users 13 through 17. We encourage you to review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian. By accepting these Terms, you represent that your parent or legal guardian is aware of and consents to your use of the Services. This also applies if you are 18 or older but not yet a legal adult where you live.

  • Age information from Apple and Google. When you use our app on an Apple or Android device, Apple or Google may share an age range for the account on that device and whether a parent has approved the app. When that information is available, we use it to check that you are at least 13 and to follow any parent approval that Apple, Google, or the law requires. When it is not available, including on our website, we rely on your statement, made by accepting these Terms, that you meet the age rules in this Section, and we may ask you to confirm your age.

  • Sensitive or higher-risk actions. We may request separate permission before an action such as uploading or processing particularly sensitive material, participating in research or an evaluation, being recorded, or asking us to share information with an outside organization for an opportunity. Permission comes from you and, where the law requires it, from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Adults. If you are 18 or older and a legal adult where you live, you may agree to these Terms for yourself.

  • United States only. The Services are made available only to persons located in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

  • Accurate age and authority. You may not misstate a user’s age or falsely claim to be a parent or legal guardian. We may take reasonable steps to verify age, identity, relationship, or authority.

  • One account. Each person may maintain only one personal account unless we approve otherwise.

A parent or legal guardian may request closure of a student account. We will handle the account and associated information as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to the student’s own rights and lawful retention requirements.

6. Account and Security

You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You may create an account or sign in with an Apple or Google account where offered. The provider’s own terms apply to its sign-in service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity under the account, except to the extent the activity results from our own failure to use reasonable safeguards. Promptly notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may request deletion of an account and associated personal information through the deletion control made available within the application or by contacting support. A parent or legal guardian may submit a request concerning a student account, subject to reasonable verification and the student’s own rights. Deletion is subject to the limited retention exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or restrict an account to investigate suspected misuse, protect a user, comply with law, or address a violation of these Terms. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable and legally permitted.

7. User Content

You may choose to upload, enter, or submit records, descriptions, files, images, assessment results, profile information, communications, and other materials (collectively, “User Content”).

Ownership. As between you and Dreamstream Academy, you retain ownership of your User Content.

Limited license. By providing User Content, you grant Dreamstream Academy a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, organize, and display that User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Services to you, create your private profile and persistent context, generate personalized pathways and recommendations, provide support, maintain security, and improve the Services using de-identified or aggregated information.

This license terminates when you delete the relevant User Content or close the account, except for information that has been de-identified so it is no longer reasonably linkable to an individual, temporary backup copies, security records, consent records, and information retained as reasonably necessary to comply with law or establish or defend legal claims.

AI processing. We may use service providers, including artificial intelligence and large-language-model providers, to process User Content on our instructions. We require providers that process identifiable User Content for us not to use that information to train their general-purpose models and not to disclose it for their own independent purposes, subject to the provider terms and agreements applicable to the Services.

Your representations. You represent that you have the right to provide User Content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. If User Content includes personal information about another person, you represent that you have authority or permission to provide it.

Sensitive and restricted information. Do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, passwords, biometric identifiers, health or medical records, or full government-issued identification documents unless a feature specifically requests the information, explains why it is needed, and obtains any required permission. A user may record that they hold a credential, such as a driver’s license or work permit, without providing the credential number or a full copy of the identification document unless specifically requested.

Private content. User Content is not displayed to other users. The Services do not provide public or semi-public profiles or user-to-user content sharing. Information may be disclosed only as described in the Privacy Policy or when the user and, where required, a parent or legal guardian specifically direct or authorize a disclosure.

We may reject, quarantine, remove, or decline to process User Content that appears malicious, unlawful, outside the intended scope of the Services, or unnecessarily sensitive.

8. Feedback

You may, but are not required to, provide ideas, suggestions, comments, bug reports, feature requests, or other input regarding the Services (collectively, “Feedback”).

Feedback is not confidential. Do not provide Feedback you wish to keep confidential or that includes information you do not have the right to share. You grant Dreamstream Academy a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and incorporate Feedback into the Services or another product or service, without compensation or attribution.

This license applies only to Feedback. It does not transfer ownership of User Content or override the Privacy Policy. Personal information contained in Feedback remains governed by the Privacy Policy. This Section survives termination of these Terms and closure of the account.

9. AI and Automated Features

The Services use artificial intelligence (“AI”) and machine learning (“ML”), including third-party large language models, to help parse and organize materials, maintain a private student context, identify possible interests and strengths, generate or refine pathways, surface adjacent possibilities, and suggest activities, programs, and next steps. We may change models or providers as the Services evolve.

AI and ML providers act as service providers processing information on our instructions and under applicable contractual restrictions. Additional information about the information processed and the purposes of processing appears in the Privacy Policy.

Not professional advice. AI-generated outputs are for general informational and exploratory purposes. They do not constitute legal, medical, financial, educational, employment, or other professional advice. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. Independently verify important information and consult a qualified person when appropriate.

No consequential decisions by Dreamstream Academy. Dreamstream Academy does not use AI-generated outputs to admit, deny, rank, score, or screen a user for a school, job, loan, housing, healthcare, insurance, or another opportunity. We do not transmit an AI-generated profile, score, or inference to a school, employer, opportunity provider, or other third party for that party to select, screen, or evaluate the user.

User control. Recommendations are starting points for exploration. The user decides whether to save, reject, refine, or act on them. A third-party organization independently determines its own eligibility, selection, supervision, and outcomes.

You may not use AI features to generate unlawful or deceptive content, attempt to discover confidential system instructions or model details, or submit confidential or sensitive information about another person without authority.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services in violation of applicable law.

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent identity, age, authority, or affiliation.

  • Exploit, endanger, harass, or attempt to harm a minor or any other person.

  • Upload content you do not have the right to provide.

  • Submit malicious code or attempt to compromise, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.

  • Use robots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Services without our written consent.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, model weights, or confidential system instructions except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.

  • Send spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or deceptive messages through the Services.

  • Create multiple accounts, manipulate recommendations or feedback, or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.

  • Violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.

  • Use a recommendation or AI output as a substitute for a decision that requires professional judgment or independent verification.

11. Private Accounts and No Social Features

The Services are designed as a private career-exploration environment. They do not include public or semi-public student profiles, public posts, user-to-user messaging, social feeds, or a way for users to view another user’s User Content.

Private does not mean that no one else processes information. Dreamstream Academy and its service providers may process information as described in the Privacy Policy. A user may also choose to leave the Services through an outbound link or direct us to make a limited opportunity connection under Section 12. The destination organization then handles information under its own terms and privacy practices.

If we later introduce a social, public-profile, or user-to-user feature, we will update the applicable terms and privacy disclosures and obtain additional permission where appropriate before making a student’s information visible to another user.

12. Affiliate Programs, Outbound Links, and Opportunities

12.1 Affiliate Programs and Outbound Links

Dreamstream Academy participates in affiliate marketing programs. Some recommendations may contain an affiliate link. If you make a qualifying purchase or take a qualifying action after following one of those links, Dreamstream Academy may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. We provide a clear disclosure near a recommendation or link that may generate compensation.

Affiliate links open in the device’s external browser. Dreamstream Academy, a merchant, or an affiliate network may use a cookie, referral code, click identifier, or similar technology to attribute a later action to the referral. Depending on the program, Dreamstream Academy may receive information such as whether a qualifying action occurred, the date of the action, an order-value or product-category field, and the resulting commission. The Privacy Policy explains these practices in more detail.

We do not intentionally include a student’s name, email address, uploaded records, assessment responses, credentials, AI-generated profile, or AI-generated inferences in an affiliate link. Affiliate attribution information is not used to build or change the student’s private profile or pathway. Compensation does not determine the substance of a personalized recommendation.

Once you leave the Services, the destination site’s terms and privacy policy govern. Dreamstream Academy is not a party to a transaction between you and a merchant, does not control the merchant’s availability, pricing, payment, fulfillment, refunds, safety, or quality, and does not warrant the merchant’s products or services.

12.2 Optional Opportunity Connections

Where the Services offer a verified opportunity connection, the feature is separate from affiliate marketing. Before a user asks us to make a connection, we will identify the receiving organization, describe the opportunity and known eligibility, cost, timing, availability, and next steps, state what information would be shared, and request the user’s direction and any parent or legal guardian authorization required for the action.

We design an opportunity connection to use the minimum information reasonably necessary. Unless a user separately directs and authorizes otherwise, we do not provide the receiving organization with uploaded student records, assessment responses, or AI-generated profiles, scores, or inferences. We may request or receive limited status information, such as whether the organization received the request, responded, or completed the agreed next step, so the user can see whether the connection worked.

The receiving organization owns and operates the opportunity. It determines eligibility, selection, scheduling, supervision, safety, delivery, and results. Dreamstream Academy may verify information about an opportunity and facilitate a connection, but it does not guarantee acceptance, availability, response, safety, completion, or outcome. A merchant or affiliate network does not agree to provide an opportunity or respond to a student merely because it participates in an affiliate program.

13. Intellectual Property

All content made available through the Services other than User Content, including text, graphics, designs, logos, software, code, recommendations, pathways, and assessments, is owned by Dreamstream Academy or its licensors.

“Dreamstream Academy,” “DREAMSTREAM,” and “Career GPS” are trademarks of DREAMSTREAM Academy Inc. Federal trademark applications for these marks are pending with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. You may not use our marks without prior written consent. Other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Subject to compliance with these Terms, Dreamstream Academy grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

14. Mobile Application Terms

Our mobile application may be made available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Store terms and policies also apply to the download and use of the application.

14.1 Apple App Store

If you download the application from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and Dreamstream Academy only, not Apple Inc.

  • Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.

  • Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the application.

  • If the application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the application.

  • Apple is not responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to the application.

  • If a third party claims the application infringes intellectual-property rights, Dreamstream Academy, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.

  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not listed on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the license to use the application and may enforce these Terms against you.

14.2 Google Play

If you download the application from Google Play, these Terms are between you and Dreamstream Academy only. Google LLC and its affiliates are not responsible for the application. Your use of Google Play is also subject to Google Play’s applicable terms.

14.3 Purchases

The Services do not currently offer in-app purchases or paid subscriptions. If we introduce a paid feature, we will disclose the price and material terms before purchase. The applicable store’s billing, cancellation, and refund rules may also apply.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING USER-PROVIDED MATERIALS AS ORGANIZED OR DISPLAYED THROUGH THE SERVICES, AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS, ASSESSMENT RESULTS, RECOMMENDATIONS, PATHWAYS, OPPORTUNITY INFORMATION, AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS, ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DREAMSTREAM ACADEMY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT A DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR CURRENT AVAILABILITY OF CONTENT, RECORD PARSING, ASSESSMENT RESULTS, RECOMMENDATIONS, PATHWAYS, AI OUTPUTS, OR THIRD-PARTY PROGRAMS AND OPPORTUNITIES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DREAMSTREAM ACADEMY AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANOTHER INTANGIBLE LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANOTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dreamstream Academy’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services, regardless of the form of action, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Dreamstream Academy for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, if you are 18 or older and a legal adult where you live, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dreamstream Academy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to misuse of the Services, User Content, a violation of these Terms, a violation of law or another person’s rights, or a third-party transaction entered into through the Services.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Dreamstream Academy’s own unlawful conduct or negligence, and it applies to or on behalf of a minor only to the extent permitted by law. We may control the defense and settlement of a covered claim, and you agree to provide reasonable cooperation. We will not settle a claim in a manner that admits wrongdoing or imposes a non-monetary obligation on you without consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

17. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a lawsuit, you and Dreamstream Academy agree to attempt to resolve a dispute informally for 30 days after written notice to the other party. To initiate the process, send a notice describing the dispute and requested relief to [email protected] and by mail to the address in Section 20. The applicable limitations period will be tolled during this 30-day period to the extent permitted by law.

Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court for a qualifying claim, seek temporary or preliminary injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property rights or address a security threat, or file a complaint with a federal, state, or local government agency.

All other disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, subject to Section 18. These Terms do not require arbitration or a class-action waiver. Nothing in this Section limits a non-waivable right or remedy available under applicable law.

18. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware. This choice of law and venue does not deprive a user of a consumer protection that the law of the user’s state does not permit the user to waive.

19. Termination and Account Closure

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. You may stop using the Services and close the account at any time through the account-deletion methods described in Section 6.

Dreamstream Academy may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Services if you materially violate these Terms, create a safety or security risk, misuse the Services, or if suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to comply with law or discontinue the Services. Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Account closure and deletion are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning ownership, licenses that expressly survive, Feedback, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, disputes, governing law, and general terms.

20. General Provisions and Contact

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms presented at the point of use of a specific feature constitute the entire agreement between you and Dreamstream Academy regarding the Services. If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
