Privacy Policy (Pre-Launch and Waitlist)

1. The DREAMSTREAM "Public Referral" Model

DREAMSTREAM Academy intends to operate on a "Direct-to-Consumer" model. Even if you learned about us through a School, District, or Network Sponsor, please understand the following regarding our intended structure:

• We are NOT a "School Official" under FERPA. We do not intend to receive or manage educational records directly from your school.
• You control your data. Any information provided to DREAMSTREAM is provided voluntarily by the Parent/Guardian (or eligible student) directly to us.
• School Separation: We do not intend to share your specific Personally Identifiable Information (PII) back to your school without your explicit consent. We plan to provide schools only with aggregated, anonymized engagement data.

2. Information We Collect

We currently collect information to facilitate your entry into our "Founding Community" and to tailor our future product. Below is a breakdown of what we collect now and what we intend to collect upon launch.

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily

• Personal Identification: First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
• Profile Data: Role (Parent/Guardian, Student, Professional, Sponsor), Industry/Area of Interest, and Education Level.
• Feedback: Qualitative data on why you are interested in working with us or joining.

• Account Registration: Usernames, Passwords, and Profile verification.
• Transaction Data: When the marketplace goes live, we will collect necessary booking details (Student Name, Age, Parent/Guardian Contact Info) to facilitate enrollment.
• Interactive Data: Responses to skills assessments and career interest surveys.

B. Automated Information Collection

As you navigate our site, we use standard technologies (cookies, pixel tags) to collect non-personal information, including:

• Browser type, device information, IP address, and general geographic location.
• Intended Future Collection: Upon launch, we plan to track usage data regarding which career pathways you explore and which Activity Providers you view to optimize the user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use (or intend to use) the collected data for the following purposes:

• Waitlist Management: To reserve your spot and categorize you into the correct user group.
• Service Fulfillment (Future): To create your account, process activity enrollments, and connect you with Activity Providers once the marketplace is live.
• Ecosystem Optimization: To analyze aggregate trends in career interests (e.g., "High interest in Aviation in Region X") to build our initial curriculum and community network.
• Communication: To send you updates regarding our launch, "Founding Community" news, and future educational content.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal identification information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. However, as we build our ecosystem, we intend to share information in the following ways:

A. With Activity Providers (Marketplace Fulfillment - Future)

Upon the launch of our marketplace, when you book a class or workshop, we intend to share necessary enrollment information (e.g., Student Name, Age, Parent/Guardian Contact Info) with the specific Activity Provider delivering that service.

B. With Corporate & Community Sponsors (Aggregated Data - Future)

We intend to share De-identified and Aggregated Data (e.g., "30% of students in this region are interested in Green Energy") with our Corporate and Community Sponsors.

• Purpose: This will help employers and non-profits understand workforce trends and allocate resources to support local career pathways.
• Protection: This data will never include PII and cannot be used to identify any individual student.

C. With Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate our business (e.g., Cloud Hosting, Email Marketing, Database providers). These parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Protecting the privacy of the very young is critical.

• Waitlist Phase: Our current waitlist is intended to be completed by parents/guardians or students over the age of 13.
• Future Platform: Our platform is designed to be utilized with Parental/Guardian Consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected such information without verification, we will delete it immediately.

6. Financial Information (Future Feature)

DREAMSTREAM Academy does not currently collect financial data.

• Future Payments: Upon the launch of paid services, we intend to process all payments through PCI-compliant third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not intend to store your credit card or banking information on our servers.

7. Data Security

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. As we transition from waitlist to live platform, we will continue to enhance these security protocols.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding your data:

• Access & Correction: You may contact us to request a copy of your waitlist data or to correct inaccuracies.
• Opt-Out: You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time via the "unsubscribe" link.
• Future Rights: Upon launch, users will have the ability to delete accounts and manage specific data sharing preferences via their profile settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

DREAMSTREAM Academy has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time, particularly as we move from development to launch. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage users to frequently check this page for any changes.
