Starting as a cancer biology researcher and faculty member, she later assumed multiple deanships within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, leading academic programs, student affairs, and diversity initiatives.

Dr. Thomas has a proven track record of mentoring and advising, creating new programs, enhancing student retention, and fostering inclusive environments. At DREAMSTREAM Academy, she leverages this deep expertise to spearhead the development of student roadmaps, ensuring every student has a clear, actionable plan to navigate their education and achieve professional success.

Roger Conley Wood

Roger is a technologist and investor who architected the mobile computing era over 30 years. His career is marked by industry-defining achievements, from developing iDEN, the global standard for digital dispatch (Nextel), to helping launch the GSM International Consortium that became T-Mobile.

While VP of Digital Media at Hearst, he designed the core specifications for the Apple News Plus content system. He also re-imagined mobile payments as a social, networked experience. At DREAMSTREAM Academy, Roger now serves as a strategic advisor, using his expertise to build a revolutionary and scalable technology platform for a global audience.

Ryan brings over 25 years of hands-on delivery experience, having led the successful implementation of enterprise AI solutions, including generative AI, computer vision, and machine learning, for large corporations, government agencies, and innovative startups. For the past five years he has provided daily, hands-on technical leadership on multiple concurrent AI programs, guiding cross-functional teams through architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing optimization.

This depth of real-world delivery leadership is woven into the very foundation of the DREAMSTREAM platform, guaranteeing that every tool, workflow, and learning pathway reflects battle-proven practices that produce reliable, scalable AI outcomes in professional environments. Ryan has a BS in Computer Science and Economics from Vanderbilt University.

With nearly 20 years of technology consulting and delivery leadership, Eric has architected and deployed mission-critical AI systems across Big Data analytics, large-scale integration, and DevOps environments for government and private-sector clients. Most recently, he led the end-to-end delivery of a computer vision platform that autonomously detects equipment wear and prescribes repairs with zero human intervention – successfully transitioning a research concept into a reliable, enterprise-scale solution.

This proven ability to take complex AI innovations from prototype to sustained, high-impact operation directly informs the robust, real-world architecture for DREAMSTREAM's platform. Eric has a BS in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.

His expertise in AI/ML and space systems, combined with work on FBI Y2K remediation and NASA LANDSAT-4, guides DREAMSTREAM Academy's national security technology vision.

As a member of the National Education and Community Council, Dr. Bludgus leverages his versatile expertise in human development and organizational management, holding both an Ed.D. and an MBA. His extensive experience - from launching and scaling an international nonprofit in Tanzania to leading academic strategy and school growth as a school principal and district assistant superintendent - gives him a comprehensive understanding of how access and opportunity drive student success.

His unique perspective, shaped by leading capital campaigns and replicating school models, underscores the critical need to integrate full community support with students’ school-based academic experiences. Dr. Bludgus now brings this holistic, impact-driven leadership to the Council, ensuring that mission-driven strategies are operationalized to drive community transformation.

Dr. Hazem Sayed Ahmed is an accomplished product design leader with a unique foundation combining medical training and Human Factors Psychology. Jim has over a decade of experience in public, parochial, and private schools, including one of the nation's foremost high schools. A strong proponent of student-centered learning, he empowers students to think critically and work collaboratively by foregrounding the use of primary sources in lessons and assessments. Among his honors, Jim has been a Gilder Lehrman Master Teacher since 2018.

As Head of Curriculum Alignment for DREAMSTREAM Academy, Jim now applies his methodology on a broader scale. He is building an engaging learning ecosystem that teaches students how to ask the right questions, navigate complex ideas, and find their voice.

Umair is an operations leader dedicated to connecting education with opportunity. After a distinguished career as a senior cybersecurity analyst for firms like SAIC, he founded Blue Cyber IT. His company created a complete career-readiness ecosystem for aspiring cybersecurity professionals, providing a proven roadmap through hands-on training, resume building, interview prep, and job placement.
